Configuring Email Clients to Reduce the MailBox Size Top

The emails sent to any account on your domain will use the disk space allocated to your domain.

The disk space consumed by the emails keeps increasing if you choose the option of leaving a copy of the email messages on the server, or, if you do not delete unwanted emails regularly or old emails from your Inbox.

While the Mail server administrators would like to be able to accommodate requests to increase the limits in place for mailbox size, enforcing the 10MB quota per mailbox is critical to maintaining the health of the Mail server. This quota limit ensures that we are able to reserve the required amount of disk space necessary to run maintenance utilities and keep the server performing well.

Our Acceptable Use and Indemnification Policy for emails says that all email boxes on your account should be kept below 10 MB each. This is normal for most accounts since email is typically accessed on a regular basis using an email client such as Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora.
