How do I create a web site using the free Web Site Builder tool Top Web Site Builder tool - build a professional looking web site using our free tool! The Web Site Builder is the perfect tool for getting your web site up quickly, without investing in a webmaster or an expensive web development software package. You can choose from a range of professionally designed templates, and simple point and click menus to get you site up in no time, with all the basics, including an automated contact form.  Getting started is easy. First, select the Web Site Builder icon in your Control Panel. Once you've entered the program, you can choose one of the professionally designed templates (click here to see some of the template examples) and then enter your basic business information:  Next, select and name up to five pages for your site. Some standard choices are suggested, but these can be anything you like. We do recommend you keep the "Contact" page - the wizard will build an automatic response form for your site with that page:  Next you can fill in the information you want on each page, choose colors, place the text, etc.:  Finally, under "Publish Site" on the left side of your Control Panel screen choose "Finish". Your web site will be published, and can be viewed at http://yourdomainname.com/yourusername. You might also want to select this button at the bottom of your screen:  so that http://yourdomainname.com will go directly to your home page. How to add a hyperlink in Web Site Builder Top If you want to "link" to another page on the Web, just copy and paste the following line into the text window in Web Site Builder. Then, replace the "yourdomain.com" and "the text you want to put for the link" with your own information. <a href="www.yourdomain.com/filename.htm">the text you want to put for the link</a> Note: Don't forget to replace "www.yourdomain.com" with the Web address you want to link to. Also, replace "the text you want to put for the link" with the text you would like to be clickable. |
