The address of our Secure Server is: https://yourserver/yourdomain/ ie: https://host3.lainterweb.com/yourdomain. You can find out 'yourserver' (or the server address that your site resides) by going to 'Account Management' in your Control Panel. If you want to get your own Secure Certificate just follow the easy instructions in your Control Panel by clicking on 'Secure Server'. We offer special discount pricing on secure certificates. How to Use LA InterWeb's SSL Top The first thing you must find out is on which server your domain resides. To find this information, please go to your control panel and click on 'Account management'. You will see something like host5.lainterweb.com under the heading of 'Hosting Server'. All you have to do in order to call your file securely using our secure server is to create your file as you would normally but call it using the following secure address: https://yourservername/yourdomainname/yourfile.html Note: Do not include the .com or the www. in 'yourdomain' in this URL. ie https://host5.lainterweb.com/yourdomainname/yourfile.html Note: yourfile.html should be in your /www directory. If you want to call a file in a directory below your /www directory, just make the necessary changes to the address ie https://youservername/yourdomainname/yourdirectory/yourfile.html Note: If you do not want your customers to see "lainterweb" in the URL when they access a Secure Server then you should get your own Secure Server Certificate. |
